Z-Axis
When referring to the orientation of an antenna the Z-Axis takes on the same meaning that it does in Cartesian mathematics. When referring to the orientation of an antenna the Y-Axis takes on the same meaning that it does in Cartesian mathematics. Aligning an antenna involves rotating the antenna around the X- Y- and Z-axis. Rotation around the X-Axis implies that the antenna is being aimed up or down. Rotation around the Y-Axis implies that the antenna is being turned left or right. Rotation around the Z-Axis implies that the antenna is being rotated clockwise or counter-clockwise. If, for example, you had a 19 dBi directional panel with a 60 degree horizontal beamwidth and a 45 degree vertical beamwidth and you rotated it 90-degrees around the Z-Axis you would have oriented it so the 60 degree beamwidth was vertical and the 45 degree beamwidth was horizontal.
ZigBee
This is a term for the 802.15.4 standard which is part of the larger 802.15 Bluetooth and UltraWideband standards for short range communication. (See 802.15.4)
Zombie
This term is used in relationship to computer hacking and refers to a computer that has been taken over by a malevolent program that then uses it to attack other computers. The Zombie computer may actually be an otherwise authorized device on the wireless or wired network but it has brought the malevolent code inside the secure zone where an attack can take place.
