These pages are an archive of our technology and engineering design, implementation, training, and consulting services from 1994 to 2020. Our focus has shifted away from wireless data networking communications to Hawaiian language communications. Updates to these archive pages ceased at the end of 2020.
Joe (Iokepa) Bardwell and Anita Lenk Bardwell have been applying their engineering, management, courseware development, and instructor-led training expertise in the marketplace since the 1980ʻs. Today, they are contributing to the local community in Hawaii and are actively engaged in the revitalization of the Hawaiian language. 

Where Is Connect802 Corporation?

In 2020, after 26 years, Joe Bardwell and Anita Lenk Bardwell, two of the original founders of Connect802, decided it was time to move into less demanding roles. Connect802 Corporation is working on some existing customer commitments but is not accepting any new clients. The technical content and product information from the original Connect802 website remains available here as a reference source.

A Perspective on Maui Communications Networks LLC
Maui Communications Networks LLC is a Maui, Hawaii based consulting firm focusing on a variety of areas within language and communications technology. We are also deeply committed to the application of communications technology and training in support of the revitalization of the Hawaiian language. On Maui, we make our many years of past RF engineering and network communications experience available to the Island.

We are developing the Hawaiian Language resource section of the website and are active co-authors of the Hawaiian Reference Grammar, a cross-compilation of all available Hawaiian grammar texts. The Hawaiian Reference Grammar is currently in use in the language department at the University of Hawaii, in the State Department of Education Immersion School system, and at other Hawaiian language schools both in-state and on the Mainland. We are mentoring a group of Hawaiian language learners on-line as well as participating in several language groups here on Maui. We look forward to a productive and safe 2021.

After guiding Connect802 Corporation through more than 20 wonderfully successful years we, the founders of Connect802, decided it was time to move on in our lives. 
Today I'm no longer focused on RF engineering but, rather, on the study and revitalization of the Hawaiian language.

The Maui Communications Networks LLC website is an evolution of the original Connect802 Corporation website to maintain continuity and to keep the large technical library available on-line. Access these original Connect802 website sections with the links provided below.

All of the technical information that was available through Connect802 remains on-line and available to help navigate the often confusing realm of RF engineering and WiFi implementation. 

Although the services that were offered by Connect802 are no longer being provided, the section remains to as a perspective on the Connect802's work prior to 2020.

Maui Communications Networks LLC does not actively resell equipment or software. The Products section remains available to provide technical perspective on previous equipment sold by Connect802.

This section has been updated to reflect the formation of Maui Communications Networks LLC and to provide historical perspective on Connect802 Corporation and the 2019 transition.
