BridgeWave Communications

BridgeWave Communications provides high-capacity microwave and millimeter wave backhaul and wireless connectivity solutions for operators, carriers, service providers, governments and private enterprise networks. With over 20,000 systems deployed in over 60 countries, the company’s innovative wireless solutions have been entrusted by customers all over the world to enable highly reliable and secure high-capacity and gigabit connectivity while reducing operating costs relative to fiber and other land-based alternatives. Founded in 1999, BridgeWave is headquartered in San Diego, California.

When considering and comparing point-to-point bridge manufacturers the aspects of product differentiation will depend you the specifics of your application, your site, and your rain region. It can be very challenging to compare and contrast equipment offerings from different wireless bridge providers. The Connect802 point-to-point microwave bridge design and deployment team is at your service to provide answers, design services, consulting, and on-going support for your wireless bridge project.

Connect802 has BridgeWave-trained RF engineers who are ready to help with the pre-sales design, product selection, and Bill-of-Materials development for your high-capacity wireless bridge link project and then to provide full RF engineering, antenna alignment, and installation support services during deployment. Connect802 and BridgeWave provide full, on-going technical support to address any issues or technical support problems that arise after installation of the wireless bridge link.

BridgeWave NAVIGATOR Microwave Licensed Point-to-Point Bridge

NAVIGATOR is a licensed point-to-point microwave system supporting the 6-42GHz licensed frequency bands, and offering performance and features far exceeding that of microwave radios manufactured using off-the-shelf chipsets. Built on the company’s proprietary custom ASICs, NAVIGATOR provides network operators with unprecedented flexibility to support multiple configurations and applications, optimize networks for the highest capacity and range, upgrade legacy networks, and speed up deployments, while minimizing both upfront investment costs and the ongoing costs to maintain and service networks.

NAVIGATOR has been designed from the ground up to deliver performance and features unavailable in any microwave radio until now, to meet critical backhaul requirements and reduce costs. These include the ability to combine dual subcarriers in each transceiver to transport up to 2.75Gbps in the single transceiver radio and 5.5Gbps in the dual transceiver radio; modulations up to 4096QAM with ultra-wide channel bandwidths up to 112MHz (ETSI) and 160MHz (ANSI) to maximize capacity and range; customer-replaceable diplexers to minimize product lead times and inventory stocking costs; a dual 10GbE interface that enables a simple, single fiber run to the radio; and an adaptable antenna interface that allows operators to upgrade legacy networks with minimum investment and disruption.

Obtaining an operating license for a point-to-point microwave link involves some searching of the FCC database to determine whether or not the proposed link will conflict with existing users of the spectrum and then filling out an FCC license application for the microwave point-to-point bridge link. Obtaining a spectrum use license for your bridge link is not a problem; Connect802 and BridgeWave will provide complete support for the establishment of your spectrum license - "We've Got You Covered!"

BridgeWave BW64 60 GHz Unlicensed Millimeter Wave Point-to-Point Bridge

This has been one of Connect802's most deployed high-capacity millimeter wave point-to-point wireless bridge radios. The BW64 provides full-duplex Gigabit Ethernet connectivity which is unlike an 802.11ac wireless backhaul point-to-point bridge radio link that is half-duplex in nature. This means that you get the full benefit of the link's capacity without the 50% reduction in effective bandwidth that comes from a half-duplex link implementation. The BW64 operates in the license-free 60 GHz millimeter wave frequency with the highest link-budget of any 60 GHz point-to-point millimeter wave radio on the market. This means you'll get solid up-time and link reliability for your critical wireless backhaul applications.

BridgeWave’s BW64 combines high-performance, simplicity, and flexibility in an all-outdoor 60GHz backhaul solution. With data rates that support 1Gbps full-duplex, and AdaptRate™ with AdaptPath™ for interference mitigation, the BW64 provides the highest link budget and flexibility for any network application. It offers both direct -48VDC power and optional POE to ease field installations and reduce cost, while also adding gigabit fiber or gigabit 1000BaseT support through a field-pluggable SFP. The BW64 is available with either an integrated 10” (25cm) antenna or external 24” (60cm) antenna.

The Connect802 on-site RF engineering team will work with your installers to provide alignment and configuration support. We're BridgeWave-trained and experienced in RF millimeter wave radio alignment and testing. Talk to Connect802 today to find out more about this "work horse" point-to-point bridge solution.
